Action plans are designed to

• Summarise each focus area of the Audit
• Spotlight "What we do next"
• Share with peers in SEND clusters
• Share school specific areas needing support from Specialist SEND Teams
• Allow SEND teams to plan their support, training, and resource creation
• Allow local authorities to spot trends and needs
• Allow local authorities to plan strategically

SENCOs answer 3 questions, adaptable to each local authority

To support writing the Action plan, SENCOs can see everything they wrote in the Audit for the specific focus area.

Reading and sharing the Action plan

The Action Plan can be shared with SLT, Governors, and others.

Comments on the Action plan

Local authority Specialist SEND Teams can access Actions plans directly from their account, and create a dialogue with the SENCO.

In our research, SENCOs told us they wanted to be able to add their "unflitered thoughts" to the Audit, and so we created the Action plan as a way of feeding into the larger eco-system of SEND through the local authority.

Some schools will want to draw on the support of the LA to write their Audits, and can invite a specific SEND specialist to support them in doing this.
