Basic Content Design
Well designed content has headings, paragraphs, and bullet points. You might need images, blockquotes, or tables.
As a content editor you don’t need to be able to write production quality HTML. You do need to know how to mark up a page. “To mark up” means to choose the right tag for the content.
Sometimes you might be asked to write using Markdown, a language which uses keyboard shortcuts to add headings, lists and so on. Adding a # makes an H1, ## makes an H2, and so on.
Depending on the content management system you use, you may need to tidy up formatting from text that's been pasted in from a word processor.
