Decide how you will treat third parties

A third party is someone who is not "us" and it's not "you". It's "them".

If "we" refers to the Local Offer, "they" might be

  • government
  • a charity which provides a service
  • a local business which provides a service

Make sure that you are clear from the start of the page who is speaking to the user.

This is more likely to be a problem in the information pages of the Local Offer.

For example, you might work for the local authority, but be writing about the NHS.

Will the NHS be "we"? It's part of the Local Offer, so maybe it should be.

On the directory it's likely to be clear:

Mary Hare School for Deaf Children

Out of County Specialist Provision

We are a school for deaf children in Newbury, Berkshire.

📝  Third parties on your Local Offer might produce some problems with pronouns. Put some examples in the discussion.
